I started playing guitar when i was about 17 or 18 and almost immediately i took to writing my own stuff.. most of my ideas come from playing different shapes and listening back...and playing around with the chord structure constantly... ever since i moved to bombay i've been lucky enough to play with musicians like Sanjay Divecha, Karl Peters, Kurt Peters etc... I love playing live... My songs are my own stories but thats how it is for most song-writers... I like playing funky shapes on the guitar which is evident in my style of playing... the melodies are simple but i try to mix it up a bit in terms of writing the music... i always listen to the lyrics of a song cos they have that extra effect on me.. which is why i try and incorporate that in my songwriting as well... Dave Matthews really inspires me as a musician as well as song-writer...
