'Memento Nostri' started as a project, experimenting with various styles of melodic metal. The band came up with the idea of writing a concept album based on the 1565 Great Siege of Malta. In August 2006, after much hard work, the band launched their first single to much critical acclaim. To Memento Nostri's extreme pleasure 'Decimation at the Gates - The Battle of Santa Margerita' was not only appreciated by the Metal community but the rich orchestrations appealed to a much wider audience. A mini cd entitled 'Pro Patria' followed, and with its huge success launch in August 2010, the band were encouraged to continue working hard. The band was nominated for two awards at the Malta Music Awards 2010 and won one of them. Memento Nostri are now working on a full album that will complete the story of the Great Siege of Malta.
