GREGG FOX & THE RENAISSANCE ROCK ORCHESTRA GREGG FOX - The Keyboardist / Creator, Composer and Performer of The Renaissance Rock Orchestra http://www.facebook.com/GreggFoxTheKeyboardist Master Pianist & Synthesist Gregg Fox has just launched a new epic project, the "Renaissance Rock Orchestra." RRO is a powerful classical rock ensemble centered around the keyboard prowess and musical skills of music maestro Gregg Fox. In The Renaissance Rock Orchestra Orchestra, powerful keyboards are surrounded and supported by heavy rock guitars and drums. The band's musical style incorporates classical, orchestral, symphonic, and progressive elements into hard rock and heavy metal. The music is a marriage of classical and rock music and is some of the music being recorded for future release is reminiscent of groups like Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Queen, Yes, and Pink Floyd, and even hard rock bands such as Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin. A Renaissance Rock Orchestra concert will be an elaborate event, which will include a string section, a light show, lasers, pyrotechnics, moving trusses, video screens, and effects synchronized to music. The music and its lyrical content are a humanistic revival of intellectual & artistic achievement expressed vigorously through rock music augmented with full string orchestration. The live shows will have a multitude of special effects, lighting and unusual staging to enhance the music much like a Pink Floyd or Trans Siberian Orchestra performance. RRO concerts may include flamboyant costuming and theatrical presentations of common human themes to intensify and portray the emotion of the music and lyrics in a very involving and convincing presentation that draws the audience into the story and the music in a very profound way. The first release of The Renaissance Rock Orchestra is called "Johann Sebastian Rock" and took over 8 months to record. It has over 200 tracks and 64 tracks of live strings! It has been receiving rave reviews by fans and critics alike and features the drumming genius of Queensryche drummer Scott Rockenfield. Collaborating on the production of this song is vocalist and sometimes producer Paul Shortino from Quiet Riot/ King Kobra.
