Yes if possible. At the top end of the market are many professional writer/producers creating master-quality demos which sound as close as possible to the intended artist's type of production, even if the singer isn't an exact sound-alike. For today's pop, dance, R&B market etc, the demo needs to sound virtually like the record. If your track sounds that good the label will probably even want to use it as the basis of the master recording and should then offer you a production royalty as well. With today's technology, it's possible to tailor your demos precisely to the artist(s) you're aiming at, providing you have the expertise and time to do that, or can work with someone who can. But first of all, it goes without saying that your songs need to be super-fantastic in every way with regard to structure, lyrics - and of course big memorable hooks.
