Sean Vukovic is an instrumental guitarist/ composer as well as a songwriter, producer and arranger whose compositions and songs range from pop, blues, country, bluegrass, jazz, cinematic and rock to neo- classical, fusion and metal. In 2010, his song ‘Song For Rudy’ landed him an Honorable Mention in the Instrumental category of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). This song is a classic rock instrumental reminiscent of the style of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. This year he is an ISC finalist with his instrumental 'Hurricane Blue'. This song is a polka country/ bluegrass rock instrumental reminiscent of the playing style of Steve Morse and Dixie Dregs. Both tracks were recorded and produced by him. He is also the songwriter/ lyricist and guitar player for a leading local pop artist NV (Nikki Vukovic) who happens to be his wife! Apart from featuring prominently on local radio stations as popular singles, his compositions with NV earned her nominations for Best Newcomer 2006 and Best Solo Artist 2007 at the Bay Music Awards (one of Malta’s leading radio stations). Later singles also hit the number one spot in the Maltacharts. He also currently plays with metal bands Forsaken (voted Best Heavy Rock Band 2003 and Best Heavy Metal Band 2009 at the Malta Music Awards) with whom he has released five albums and played various festivals across Europe; and Norm Rejection (nominated for Best Heavy Metal Band 2011). He is one of the main music composers with both these bands too as well as being heavily involved in the production side of their albums.
