Rob has an Honors Degree in Music Composition from La Trobe University in Melbourne. He ran the freelance side of the music department's studio whilst doing his Masters degree. He composed and produced the title music for all twelve episodes of the educational series, "TV Ed" for the ABC. Rob has also composed and produced a variety of soundtracks for various corporate clients including Qantas. Rob Transini was the producer, engineer and proprietor of Industry Studios in Adelaide, from1998 to 2008, and the Label Manager of Compressor Records. He has produced and/or recorded many Triple J featured artists from Adelaide including A Tribe Is Forming, Insect Seeking Technology, Bit By Bats, Everest, Nun Nicer, and Babydoll. Rob has won the Songwriters, Composers and Lyricists Association (SCALA) award for the Best Master Recording in 1999 for Dan Jackiw’s song “I Miss You”. Rob has been invited to judge various talent competitions and was a sponsor of SCALA. Rob also won back to back SAMIA (South Australia Music Industry Association) awards in 2004-2005 for Best Studio Producer/Engineer. In 2005-2006 Rob and Nereeda regularly performed their original songs and in 2006 released the EP single “Whenever” which reached number 2 on the Fresh FM charts and received rotation on Nova FM. More recently, Rob, co-writing with Hayley Teal (XFactor Top 6) has produced the album “Chocolate” which is currently on rotation on SAFM, NovaFM and PowerFM. After teaching senior secondary music for the past three years, Rob is now working part-time and continues to write contemporary songs with other artists while also composing instrumentals for TV and film.
