Rob Pastorok is a keyboardist, percussionist, and artistic director/producer. He has more than 30 years’ experience performing as a musician and producing engaging music and dance experiences for diverse audiences. In the early 1990s, Rob focused attention to his arts career and started working with African musicians and dancers in touring ensembles. He initiated and managed for 5 years the longest-running African music series in Seattle. Since 2005, he has performed with R&B/Soul/HipHop groups and has led regional/international tours; including Global Heat’s tour to perform for a week at the 2006 Shanghai (China) International Music Festival and week-long tours to Reno with TRIBE-olution (2015) and Global Heat (2017). He has performed with world-class artists, including Kanda Bongo Man from the Congo, I.K. Dairo from Nigeria, Kader Sun ny from Paris/Algeria, Lora Chiorah-Dye from Zimbabwe, and Naby Camara from Guinea.

MISSION Global Artists Collective creates opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue, shared experiences, and collaboration. We elevate traditional and contemporary performing artists through their public performances, educational outreach, and interactive workshops that foster community. We especially acknowledge the universal influence and evolution of Black artistry, and its stylistic expressions in other cultures.
