BIOGRAPHY KEISHA MARTIN From the 'concrete jungles' of Kingston Jamaica, emerges The Queen of Jamrock Soul, singing sensation Keisha Martin - dubbed the first lady of R&B, Soul, and Reggae. The third of six children, Keisha migrated to Brooklyn, New York at the age of nine. She demonstrated her talents, like many others before her, singing in her church choir. It didn't take long for Keisha however, to start securing first place in talent shows, from high school productions, to amateur night at the world famous Apollo Theater. Although multi-talented, one of Keisha's most unique qualities is her versatility. That ability to deliver whatever genre is suitable at any given moment. Whether R&B, spiritually and culturally inspired tracks, or the ever popular dance tunes, it doesn't matter. Whatever the demand, Keisha delivers effortlessly. Much more than a brick house vocalist and deejay, Ms Martin is an accomplished songwriter and expert choreographer, who has won dancehall competitions in Canada, Ohio, New York, and Jamaica. She has also worked with world-renowned producers such as, Todd Terry, Robert Livingston, DJ Big Kap, & Self. This young woman has managed to hone her craft, maintain a style all her own, and she possesses all the ingredients necessary for a successful career. She has graced the stage with reggae industry greats such as, Bushman, Dean Frazier, Wayne Wonder, Taurus Riley, I-Wayne, Gyptian, Ky-mani Marley, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Spragga Benz, Ed Robinson, Rupee, and Twins of Twins. Keisha's latest single "Believe" is a powerful and riveting ballad done over a simple one-drop riddim. Filled with emotion, sincerity, and truth, no matter the situation the listener is experiencing, 'Believe' will provide the inspiration and motivation needed to overcome. With this track, Keisha dug deep into the depths of her soul and shared with her fans, a piece of herself.
