Profil de l'entreprise
The Spins is an Italian female fronted pop band created by Alessia Mattalia in March 2004. ALESSIA MATTALIA Alessia is the most well-known italian female drummer. In her career stand out her years with pop band B-Nario, with whom opened Michael Jackson's concert at S. Siro Stadium in Milan (June 18th, 1997) and the whole european tour of Eros Ramazzotti in 1998. Alessia is also the only italian female drummer ever featured in the pages of US magazine MODERN DRUMMER (June 2001 issue). More details about our stunning drummer available in her official website at http://www.alessiamattalia.net. MARCELLO GIORDANO The Spins' keyboardist and primary songwriter showed for the first time his talent in 1994, when his song I WISH YOU sold over 48.000 copies in Europe (Proprio Records). When Alessia Mattalia joined ArX, she and Marcello built a solid artistic team, which created not only The Spins' songs but the new set of electro-jazz songs as well that Alessia - with the live contribution of her bandmate - plays in her drum clinic european tour. MARIO PIGNATELLI If someone of you noticed a kind of resemblance with Toto's Steve Lukater, er... well you're right. Other than being one of the most powerful italian guitarist, Mario - as lead guitar of official Toto tribute band Candyman - is becoming more and more similar to the great original. In the near future we'll test if he can write something as fine as - for example - Hold The Line, we never refuse a good single! Mario is official endorser of MATON Guitars, BREEDLOVE guitars, BLADE, MATCHLESS, AER and CARL MARTIN effects. CIX The lead vocalist and violinist of The Spins is a regular presence of South America and North Africa stages, playing at festivals in Vina Del Mar (Chile), Zanzibar, Djerba. Back in Italy, she opened up a recording studio while keeping on dividing the stage with such italian popstars like Timoria, Havana Mambo and Nomadi. Tempted by Alessia, she decided to try with a new adventure: to front the band of the Queen of Double Bass Drum. Check the result by yourself… In April 2004 The Spins recorded their first 5-songs EP, which has been released by Dutch label Dying Giraffe Recordings. The title-track single charted in December 2004 in the Top100 of RadioWaveMonitor for Dance/Techno Format (26 weeks in the chart, higher position #16). After their first successful UK tour in November 2005, the band began in March the recordings of their new album, produced by “the king of drum clinics” Thomas Lang. The first single taken from the album will be released on June 1st, 2007 by Palma Records (Universal Music Ltd. Distribution).
