Vinyl pressing, how to get started, what do I need?
1. Final Audio Mastering
Provide a finished master in WAV or AIFF, 24-bit / 44.1–96 kHz.
Request a “vinyl master” from your mastering engineer:
Controlled low-end (mono below ~150 Hz), no excessive sibilance.
Peaks not slammed; leave ~3–6 dB headroom.
Sequenced exactly as you want it on Side A / Side B.
Include a PQ sheet / track timing sheet showing gaps & fade-outs.
2. Artwork & Print Files
Outer jacket, center labels, inner sleeves, and any inserts/posters.
Supply high-resolution (300 dpi) CMYK PDFs or TIFFs using the plant’s die-cut templates (they provide these).
Add 3–5 mm bleed and keep text/logos inside safe zones.
Make sure fonts are outlined or embedded.
Provide tracklist, catalog number, and barcodes if needed.
3. A reliable partner to guide you through the process.
