Parasol has written and produced 4 full length critically acclaimed albums and toured EU at length. Originally from San Francisco and the daughter of Swedish/Israeli parentage. She now splits her time between San Francisco and Paris, France. Rykarda tours primarily with her Warsaw band in EU and with her San Francisco band in the USA! With a precarious, gender-bending vocal she weaves tales of identity, experience, loss, and adventure with elegance and discernment that moves beyond the modern rock genre.

Her lyrics, delivery and shadowy tone have garnered favorable comparisons to Lou Reed, Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Jim Morrison and the like -- as well as literary types such as William Faulkner and Christina Rossetti. Yet her mode is a unique electric mix that combines vintage sounds of Murder Ballad, French Pop, Doo-wop, and even bits of Motown. Spring/Summer/Fall 2016: With new album released via Warner Music, Poland (Polish distr only) Parasol plans to perform in Poland and Balkans where she has a strong fanbase. Currently seeking to widen her audience and tour throughout EU. For a decade, Parasol has been the captain of her own musical path: touring, writing and producing three strong full-length albums; from lyrics to voice and instrumentation to creating her unique album art. Parasol’s influence extends well beyond music itself. Educated in the visual arts and creative writing, Ms Parasol is invested in storytelling from the get-go.
