2 GEN IS THE SUM of two big passions. Two genera􀆟ons of a family which had developed separate careers in electronic music over the years, have go􀆩en together to explore the vibrant chemistry that emerges between them before a DJ controller. For years they had shared 􀆟ps and concerns, exchanged tracks, lent equipment to each other… They had it before their eyes, but they didn’t see it un􀆟l, in May 2014, des􀆟ny brought them together in the booth of a club in Zaragoza, during a night dedicated to Techno. Sparks emerged! Soon they found out that their connec􀆟on also worked in their recording studio in Barcelona, where they spend hours producing, tes􀆟ng or just enjoying music. RAFAEL DILOY (Fürth, Germany, 1965) has been related to music all his life in a wide variety of genres. In his youth he toured with a La􀆟n music band and he has also journeyed through Heavy Rock and author music. All this background only serves to enrich his current passion, electronic music, to which he has dedicated during the last years under the ar􀆟s􀆟c name of SIEB before joining 2GEN. House and Tech House lover and natural born mixer of different electronic genres, in the booth he stands out for the power of his sound. XAVI DILOY (Cádiz, 1989) is a young DJ who has already known the sweetness of success with his former duet, Loves Akabados. However, in 2014 he decided to the leave aside the big room type of sound of this group, pre􀆩y well known in the Andalusian clubbing circuit, and moved to Barcelona to relaunch his ar􀆟s􀆟c career, as he returned to his underground roots. Techno devotee, he manages vast repertoires of current tracks and his sessions are characterized by energy and connec􀆟on with the crowd. SINCE THEIR COUPLING, they have published several sigles: "Oktober" (Bouncing Beats), "U.F.O.", "Maktub", "Ocean Groove” (Basic Groove), "Hola” (Yin Yang Records), all of them with an op􀆟mis􀆟c sound and laid in a fron􀆟er area between House and Tech House. 2016 has been the year of their breakthrough in the Spanish Techno scene, with appearances in major outdoor fes􀆟vals like Medusa (Valencia), Electrofallas (Valencia), Electromar (Alicante) and Animal Sound (Murcia), alongside global icons of the genre like Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Joris Voorn or Adam Beyer. They have also shined over several dates on Ibiza (Bora Bora Beach Club, Hotel Pacha) and important gigs in their hometown Barcelona (Off Week, City Hall, Hola Club Sitges…).
