Personal profile

Music was always a passion of Andreas. After an initial music education in different genres like Rock, Pop, Jazz and Blues he discovered the electronic music. Fascinated from sounds of the fabulous Detroit based Artists in the early nineties, Andreas experimented with different sound modules, synthesizers and recording equipment. 2010 was the year he starts his label Klangkultur Schallplatten together with his friend Dirk Hermann.

Klangkultur Schallplatten was founded in 2010 by Dirk Hermann and Andreas Mueller. This label which is based in the Cologne area concentrates primarily on House / Tech-House style music. Andreas and Dirk originally started with a purely digital label with the name “KK Digital” and have had 4 releases to date including Argenis Brito. As the record has been a significant component in the electronic music scene and still is, it was always their goal from the start to establish a vinyl as well as a digital label. Even if there is a clear trend towards digitalization, the classical original format should still be maintained. It is due to this conviction that the two partners want to produce their first records under their label “Klangkultur Schallplatten” in 2012 and prove that Cologne is not only to be associated with minimal sounds. Artists like Circo Loco Resident DJ W!ld, Darius Syrossian and Chris James have signed up to the label so far.
