Jens-Markus Wegener has been working successfully in the global music business as a music publisher, business consultant and music manager for more than 35 years. An undisputed highlight in his career was being named Global Publisher of the Year 2016 at MusExpo in Los Angeles. The promotion company Public Propaganda, which he founded at the end of the 80s, developed into the most successful dance promotion company on the continent in the 90s. As artist manager, he organized the launch of ex-Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos into a successful solo career. As CEO and Managing Director of AMV Talpa, he organized the sale of the publishing catalog to the German independent Budde Publishing in 2012 and was involved in the sale of Imagem Music to Concord Music as MD of Imagem Germany in 2017. In addition to his work as a still very active publisher for his own company AMV Publishing, Wegener takes care of the sale of master and publishing catalogs to international investors or develops financing models for artists and authors. His specialties also include the sale of income streams and the search for financial partners and silent partners for expanding music companies.
