The idea that Esther is going to study jazz was not even thought by her. Esther, born on 30 June 1989, enjoyed classical music education in flute, piano and saxophone. Later, at the age of 18, she got singing lessons - pop and classical. Acting upon the advice of her teacher she applied for popular music at various conservatories. At least she thought she is. Right before her qualifying examination in Enschede, the other applicants told her that this is the jazz study course. Apperently she made her cross on the registration form wrong. Because of passing the entrance examination she decided to temp fate and to study jazz on Enschede in september 2010. It emerged as a good decision, because there, she got to know her bandmembers and other musicians to play with.
