« My music is a mirror of the varied roads which I have travelled » Composer, producer, vocalist autodidact ,Michel DeMars is fluent in several genres of traditional and contemporary music, plays several instruments, and currently has some 100 works to his credit. Michel DeMars career started in the 80′s when he co-founded a progressif rock band which bared his name ( DeMars ). After recording one LP and one EP and playing clubs for many years he decided to dismember the band and experiment in a different form of music ( Progressif Instrumental, Electronic New Age and film Music.) Since then, International Acts and Corporations ,Film Production Compagnies and National Broadcasting Corporations commissioned him for his Music….. DeMars is a passionate, dynamic, and creative individual with a bilingual (French-English) background. He is totally committed to his art.As a composer he usually creates on his own but he has a fondness for teamwork and thrives in developing new projects particularly those that break new ground. In 2011 Michel DeMars was nominated at the Prix Gemeaux in the best music in a documentary category for his work on “Last Call Indien”.
