Music career Mathias Gruber started playing e-bass in 1992 and composed his first songs a few years later. Since then he has been member of several bands (pop/rock, jazz) and played numerous gigs with them througout Austria. In 2005 he founded the pop/rock-project MAT and produced both a demo-cd and a promotion-cd in the following 2 years. Mathias composes and produces all songs of MAT and cooperates with different vocalists and live musicians for MAT’s numerous gigs. Mathias himself plays guitar and keyboard on stage. MAT got a first record deal with the german record label Songhouse in 2006. The single “Eyes Of An Unreal World” was produced with the famous german vocalist “Xenia Lane” and got many airplays in Austria and Germany. Since 2010 he possesses his own recording studio and produces artists of all styles. Education After 7 years of practice Mathias Gruber started to study jazz bass at the “Vienna Conservatory” (private music university) in 2000. Four years later he focused on instrumental education with jazz bass and jazz guitar as main subjects. In the same year he began to play keyboard. Since 2004 he has been working as teacher for e-bass, guitar and keyboard for both children and adults. 2009 he completed one’s degree at the “Vienna Conservatory”. Now he is a qualified teacher for bass and guitar
